PULSATING CARDIAC PHANTOM ALPHA MR/CT simulates cardiac motion by a rubber tube which is swelled and withered with iodinated contrast material or air or other liquid. Iodinated contrast material or air or other liquid is controlled by a piston which is driven by SERVOMOTOR.
Major Features
Non-metal materials for all parts in the phantom including the piston
Evaluation done in 3-Tesla MRI room
Simulates with high quality a string of ventricle movements, fast filling, slow filling, fast pumping and slow pumping
Simulates with high fidelity ventricle rapid pulse movements (no slow filling)
Variable rubber tube length
Simulates with high fidelity changes in volume by changing stroke length of piston
ALPHA PC, the PC control software included in the system, enables you to use various patterns of ventricle volume change
A coronary artery phantom that simulates pulsating flow can be attached as well as the mock coronary phantom common with ALPHA 1-VT. (The pulsating flow system is optional.)
