ALPHA COMPACT

This device simulates the movement of heart by moving a piston by a motor and a cam and placing and displacing contrast agent inside a cylinder into and out of a rubber bag.

Main features

  • Well simulates a series of ventricle movements like rapid flow, slow flow, rapid expulsion and slow expulsion.
  • Well replicates ventricle movements when tachycardia is happening. (Slow or fast flow is not occurring)
  • Shape of the rubber can be changed.
  • Stroke can be changed between 0 mm and 40 mm.
  • Preset patterns that employ 6 types of clinical data can be selected by one touch.
  • Heart rate can be manually selected between 3 bpm and 164 bpm.
  • Various evaluations of coronary artery can be done by attaching an optional mock coronary artery phantom.
  • Compact structure that consolidates the control part, driving part and phantom.
  • Various evaluations on coronary artery vessels are possible with a coronary artery vessel phantom (option).

Operation patterns and measurement data
The operation patterns and measurement data are obtained by measuring the movement of the phantom in real time and its chronological change is displayed in a graph. “Stroke” is obtained by measuring the location change of the piston. “Pulse” is obtained by measuring the pulse signals transmitted from ECG interface. Change in the volume of a mock ventricle is proportional to the change in the piston location.
compact Graph

The uppermost part of the graph represents the front-most location of the piston (end of diastole).
The lowermost part of the graph represents the rear-most location of the piston (end of systole).
